Brenda J. Johnson Named as She Leads America Honoree
(Franklin) – On April 28, 2023, Brenda J. Johnson, Vice Chairman of the Board for Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc., was named as a She Leads America Tennessee honoree!
The She Leads America organization consists of a diverse group of accomplished Christian women across the US. They provide a framework to link interdisciplinary perspectives centered in the Bible, share resources, and offer faith-based solutions for modern day challenges. Honorees are selected through peer-based nominations. With this recognition, Mrs. Johnson joins the ranks of honorees which include; award-winning political scientist and former tenured professor Dr. Carol Swain, the first female Governor of South Dakota Kristi Noem, former NCAA swimming star Riley Gaines, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King and founder of Speak for Life Dr. Alveda King, television presenter, actress, singer, and author Kathie Lee Gifford, and US Senator and businesswoman Marsha Blackburn.
She Leads America Tennessee presented Mrs. Johnson this distinction for being “a strong and steady voice for good in this country and around the world, helping families thrive, organizations flourish, and communities connect.” Mrs. Johnson is known for being a businesswoman who has mastered the ability to uphold high standards and be supportive at the same time. She challenges everyone to work at their highest level every day. She is a woman who makes others’ lives easier. With this honor, Mrs. Johnson received a Certificate of Recognition from the Tennessee General Assembly signed by a Tennessee Legislator honoring her as “an extraordinary citizen”, for “her continued participation in government”, and commending her dedication to her community.
Brenda J. Johnson founded Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. with her husband, Norman Johnson, MD, in 2002. The business has grown to become the nation’s largest jail healthcare contract management company. The organization has a reputation for doing the right thing and has saved over 52 lives in the last year. Mrs. Johnson personally supports the following charities: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Studio Tenn Theatre Company, Springdale Historic Preservation Foundation, Franklin Tomorrow, Friends Of Franklin Parks, and Franklin First United Methodist Church.
