DAISY Award Presented – Mettler, RN

(Franklin) - Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. (ACH) is proud to present Nurse Mettler a DAISY Award for extraordinary patient care.

Nurse Mettler has been with ACH for 7 months. In this time, she has received 8 thank you notes and a recognition certificate for Problem Solving. Her nominator stated: “I have witnessed [Nurse Mettler] spending time with distraught detainees assisting them in their time of need, going above and beyond as I have seen in the past 17+ years in working here. This makes the lives of our staff so much better when [detainees] know their medical needs are a priority.”

In an effort to help promote the meaningful work correctional nurses do, ACH partnered with the DAISY Foundation in April of 2017. While the DAISY Award is well-known in the hospital setting, ACH is to our knowledge the only correctional health care provider to present this award to its associates. When nurses are presented with the DAISY Award, they receive an award certificate, a DAISY pin, and the Healer’s Touch sculpture. They are also featured on the DAISY Foundation’s website.

The DAISY Foundation was created in 1999 to recognize nurses “for the super-human work they do for their patients and families [of the patients] every day.” This award is currently recognized in over 4,650 health care facilities and schools of nursing in all 50 states and 28 other countries.

Headquartered in Tennessee, Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. (ACH) manages contracts for the care of over 34k patients in 370+ correctional facilities across 21 states. ACH is proud to have a 95% client retention rate. ACH has a reputation for solving problems by doing the right thing the first time. In 2022, at least 56 patient lives were saved. To date in 2023, at least 25 patient lives have been saved.
