Genesee County Jail Reaccredited for Quality Health Care Services

National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC)

Flint, Michigan - On August 19th, Genesee County Jail was re-accredited by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) for demonstrating compliance with nationally recognized guidelines of care for correctional health services in jail! First accredited in 2003, Genesee County Jail has maintained its commitment to meeting the requirements set by the NCCHC for 21 years.

To maintain NCCHC accreditation, Genesee County Jail underwent a rigorous on-site professional assessment by a team of experienced physicians and experts in correctional health care. The facility was surveyed for compliance with jail-specific guidelines in several areas, such as patient care and treatment, health promotion, safety and disease prevention, governance and administration, personnel and training, special needs and services, and medical-legal issues.

The facility partners with industry leaders to ensure high-quality health care.
